The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team looks to grab its first victory of the season as it heads to Omaha on Tuesday to face off against Creighton in a dual meet. Last season the Panthers defeated Creighton 7-1 in the dual and they look to do the very same thing again this year.

UNI head golf coach John Bermel stated that this year's roster is "awfully young, but the freshman are going to play a big role this year." Losing three seniors on any team is hard and replacing MVC Player of the Year Brittany Atterbury will prove quite the challenge for Bermel and his new squad.

Bermel also stated that the Panthers have a good top five this year and are looking forward to a great season.

The Panthers ended the 2011-2012 season by finishing in third place at the State Farm MVC Championship in Terre Haute, Ind.
