OMAHA, Neb.- The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Creighton University this afternoon in Omaha.

In doubles, Cassandra Dix and Krissy Lankelma fell to Jennie Hartjes and Analese Snyder of CU 8-2 in the No. 1 match. Creighton's Mary McMullan and Kelsey Schmidt defeated Nina Pfahler and Jessica Kunzelmann 8-6 in the No. 2 match. Chelsea Moore and Stefannia Sampaio lost their No. 3 match to Elizabeth Vermillion and Amanda Noonan of CU 8-4.

Pfahler was defeated by Hartjes of CU 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match. Dix lost a close battle to Schmidt of CU 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 in the No. 2 match. Kunzelmann fell to Snyder of CU 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in the No. 3 match. Moore won her No. 4 match, defeating McMullan of CU 6-2, 7-6. Lanklema breezed past Vermillion of CU 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 match. Sampaio lost her No. 6 match to Taylor Koehrson of CU 7-5, 7-5.

The Panthers head to Kansas where they will take on Wichita State at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.
