The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team will be taking part in the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas Nov. 22-24. Travelers interested in flying with the UNI Panther men's basketball team on the trip can purchase the cost of the flight and game tickets for $1,100.

The flight will be a non-stop charter flight from Waterloo to Nassau and returning non-stop to Waterloo. The charter will leave the Waterloo airport on Tues., Nov. 20 and will return to Waterloo Sun., Nov. 25. All travelers will need a valid passport to enter the Bahamas.

Travelers will be responsible for their own hotel, transportation, meals and miscellaneous expenses upon arrival in the Bahamas. The UNI men's basketball team will be staying at the Atlantis, Paradise Island. Call 1-800-ATLANTIS for reservations. Reservations should be made for five nights.

Flight reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A $250 non-refundable deposit (per traveler) will be required when making the reservation. The remaining balance will need be to be paid by Sept. 1, 2012, or the reserved seats will be released to those on the waiting list.

The eight teams taking part in the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis include UNI, Duke, Louisville, Memphis, Minnesota, Missouri, Stanford and VCU.
