Kelley (Westhoff) Jacobs is starting her second season as UNI's director of operations after spending eight seasons as an assistant.  This is the 14th total season for Jacobs on the Panther bech, as she served as a graduate assistant following her playing career with the Panthers.

Jacobs has put her degree in finance to good use, coordinating all aspects of the operations budget. She also serves as the academics liaison, and the Panthers have finished with one of the 15 highest GPAs in the nation in seven of the last eight years.  Jacobs worked with UNI's post players, helping to develop the 2009 MVC Newcomer of the Year, Kim Wypiszynski. Prior to working with the posts, she worked with the UNI point guards, including 2008 MVC Freshman of the Year, Jacqui Kalin. She also coordinates alumni relations, senior day and the end of the year banquet, serves as the facilities liaison and assists with all aspects of recruiting.

Jacobs remains one of the great players in UNI's history, holding many assists records. A 1997 graduate of UNI, she was a four-year letter winner and co-captained the team her junior and senior seasons. She set five school records and still holds marks for assists in a game (13), season (180) and career (475). She also owns the standard for assists per game in a season (7.20) and career (4.57). She led the conference in assists in her final Panther season and was ranked nationally.

She is a two-time all-academic selection in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Dubuque, Iowa native earned All-MVC honorable mention honors in 1996-97.

Jacobs and her husband Ryan, the UNI softball coach, reside in Cedar Falls with their daughters Haley and Emma.
