Troy Garrett is entering his third season as the athletic trainer for the UNI wrestling team. The 2011-12 season will mark the fifth year Garrett has served at UNI.

In his first two seasons at UNI, he worked with the Panther cross country and track & field squads.

Prior to coming to UNI, Garrett worked as an athletic trainer at Southeastern Oklahoma State (Durant, Okla.) from 1998-2000, at Truman State from 2000-2004 and at Wilmington College (Wilmington, Ohio) from 2005-2007. He also worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, from 2004-2005. Garrett earned his bachelor's degree in 1995 from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. He also garnered his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1998.

In his spare time, Garrett enjoys biking the Cedar Valley trails.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Marissa (4) and Delaney (1).
