University of Northern Iowa junior Hayley Thomas led the Panther women's cross country team at the NCAA Midwest Regional held in DeKalb, Ill., on Saturday afternoon. Thomas finished the 6k course in 22:26.39 for 52nd place overall, recording a season-best time by 16 seconds. UNI claimed 21st place as a team.
Senior Jill Lageschulte was the Panthers' No. 2 finisher, crossing the line in 23:02.75 for 99th place. Junior Allison Fick claimed 116th place with a time of 23:16.77, Leah Blanchard was 129th at 23:30.25, and Scotti Schon placed 134th with a time of 23:36.86.
