Heading into the first tournament of the spring 2012 season, the UNI men's golf team looks to get off on the right foot against in-state rivals Drake, Iowa, and Iowa State. The tournament will take place at the Lone Tree Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz.
TEEING OFF
- UNI finished the 2011 fall season by placing 7th in the Bill Rose Intercollegiate.
- Ryan Horner led the way for the Panthers at the final fall meet by shooting a 75-73-71--219.
- The Lone Tree Golf Course holds a par 72.
- Following the Big 4 Tournament the Panthers will head to Primm, Nev. to compete in the Jackrabitt Invitational.
- Ryan Horner looks to continue to improve his fall season average of 74.1 while Braden Gaal looks to outshoot his team-best 67 at the first round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite.
