The University of Northern Iowa softball team is receiving votes in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll for the first time in school history.
Head coach Ryan Jacobs' UNI squad (30-10, 14-0 Missouri Valley Conference) received five votes in the latest poll.
UNI will travel to Peoria, Ill., on Wednesday for a doubleheader vs. the Bradley Braves. UNI will be back in action at home on Saturday and Sunday against Missouri State.
