Dawn Jacobson joined the University of Northern Iowa as an assistant athletic trainer in December 2011.

Jacobson provides athletic training coverage for the UNI women's basketball team and teaches within the athletic training education program.

Jacobson worked at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for four years (2008-2011) prior to joining the Panthers' staff. She worked with women's soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball and track & field with the Pointers. She also served as an instructor in the athletic training education program.

Jacobson served as an intern with the WNBA's Detroit Shock in the summer of 2004.

She earned her bachelor's degree in health and human performance from Iowa State University in 2006. Jacobson then earned her master's degree in educational administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2008.
