Sievertsen, the Panthers kicker, was listed on the second team, while Sonie, a standout corner back, was listed on the third team. The staff at College Sports Madness has predicted the top FCS football players for the 2012 season with the preseason All-America teams.

Sonie finished the 2011 season with 70 tackles including 37 solo tackles and 33 assisted. He also accumulated one forced fumble, three interceptions and seven pass breakups. Sonie recorded a season high 12 tackles against Stephen F. Austin in the second game of the season.

During the 2011 season, Sievertsen went 39-39 on extra points and only missed two field goals during the season finishing 18-20. Sievertsen averaged 61.9 yards per kickoff and added up 4,274 total yards from kickoffs. Sievertsen recorded a season-long field goal of 48 yards three times on the season.

The Panthers open the 2012 season at Wisconsin on Sept. 1.
