The University of Northern Iowa football team hosted its annual media day this past Saturday in the UNI-Dome.
UNI returns seven starters on offense, five on defense and both specialists from a squad that captured a share of the Missouri Valley Football Conference crown and advanced to the NCAA FCS playoff quarterfinals.
UNI will open the 2012 season Sept. 1 at Wisconsin. UNI's home opener is set for Sept. 8 in the UNI-Dome against Central State (Ohio).
