The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball program will make at least three appearances on the Missouri Valley Conference's in-house television package.

The Valley, with Niles Media Group of Kansas City serving as its production company, has worked in conjunction with FOX Sports Midwest -- along with its sister regional cable outlets FOX Sports Indiana and FOX Sports Kansas City -- and Comcast SportsNet Chicago to clear all basketball and Olympic sport telecasts.

UNI will open league play with an MVC TV broadcast at Wichita State on Dec. 30.

The Panthers will play host to Bradley on Sat., Jan. 12, with the game being a part of the MVC TV package.

UNI will also make an MVC TV appearance on Wed., Feb. 27, at Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill.

"It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since the league made the decision to bring its television network in-house, but it was the right move," said Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Doug Elgin.

"The MVC TV Network, thanks to partners like FOX Sports, FOX College Sports and Comcast SportsNet Chicago, remains our most visible marketing and promotional tool for our programs, coaches and student-athletes," Elgin added.

"In the electronic media world, it's unique to have a relationship with a television entity that feels like an extension of your own staff, but we have that with FOX Sports Midwest and SVP/General Manager Jack Donovan," said Jack R. Watkins, MVC Associate Commissioner. "The trio of FOX, Comcast and FCS provides Valley brand recognition regionally as well as nationally."
