OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team shot the lowest score (292) in the final round of play at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate to move up from 13th to a tie for sixth. Michael Wetrich and Yarri Bryn each shot a 70 (-2) to conclude the tournament.
Leading the way for the Panthers on the leaderboard is Michael Wetrich who's +3 put him in a tie for fifth place individually. Braden Gaal's final round 74 put moved him into a tie for 34th and Yarri Bryn's 70 put him into a tie for 54th. Glenn Walls concluded the tournament with a 78 and a tie for 57th and Paul Bretl ended with an 83 and a 73rd place finish.
Since this was the final meet of the Fall 2012 season, the Panthers won't be back in action until the Spring.
