• The UNI Panthers men’s basketball team (1-0 overall) will take on the visiting Toledo Rockets (0-2 overall) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center.
• This will be the first-ever meeting between UNI and Toledo.
• Toledo will enter Wednesday’s game with a mark of 0-2 after dropping its season opener at Loyola (Chicago) on Nov. 9, 62-50, and dropping an 82-56 decision at Minnesota on Monday night.
• UNI moved to 7-0 in home season openers under seventh-year head coach Ben Jacobson. Overall, UNI has won 12 straight home openers.
• UNI is a perfect 14-0 in games played in the McLeod Center in the month of November.
• UNI has posted a mark of 33-7 vs. non-conference competition since the McLeod Center opened in November 2006.
• UNI set the McLeod Center record for points (103) and field goals made (40) in its season-opening 103-50 win over Wartburg on Saturday.
• UNI reached the century mark for the first time in the Ben Jacobson coaching era with its 103-50 win over Wartburg. It marks the 38th time in school history that UNI has reached the 100-point plateau and the first time since Dec. 21, 1997, when the Panthers posted a 102-80 win over Chicago State.
• The UNI men’s basketball team received  four votes in this week’s Associated Press top 25 poll.

SERIES HISTORY VS. TOLEDO
This will be the first-ever meeting between UNI and Toledo on the basketball floor.
    UNI’s last meeting vs. a member of the Mid-American Conference came last season against the Ohio Bobcats.

SCOUTING THE TOLEDO ROCKETS
Toledo will enter Wednesday’s game with a mark of 0-2 after falling in its season opener at Loyola (Chicago) on Nov. 9, 62-50, and dropping an 82-56 decision at Minnesota on Monday night.
    Toledo was tabbed to win the West Division in the 2012-13 Mid-American Conference Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll.
    Toledo returns its entire starting lineup, including second-team All-MAC honoree and junior Rian Pearson (16.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg) and 2011-12 MAC Freshman of the Year Julius Brown (11.9 ppg, 4.9 apg) who were named to the West Division preseason All-MAC squad.
    Toledo head coach Tod Kowalczyk is entering his third season at UT’s helm and orchestrated a dramatic turnaround in the 2011-12 campaign. The Rockets registered the second-largest turnaround in NCAA Division I Basketball last year by compiling a 19-17 win-loss mark and advancing to post-season play for the first time in five years.

NON-CONF HOME-COURT SUCCESS
UNI has posted a mark of 33-7 vs. non-conference competition since the McLeod Center opened in November 2006.
    UNI posted a 6-1 mark last season in the McLeod Center during its non-conference home schedule.

A DAY FOR RECORDS
UNI set the McLeod Center record for points (103) and field goals made (40) in its season-opening 103-50 win over Wartburg on Saturday.
    UNI also shot its highest percentage from beyond the 3-point arc in a game in the McLeod Center by draining 61.9 percent (13-of-21) of its 3-point shots against the Wartburg Knights.

CENTURY MARK
UNI reached the century mark for the first time in the Ben Jacobson coaching era with its 103-50 win over Wartburg.
    It marks the 38th time in school history that UNI has reached the 100-point plateau and the first time since Dec. 21, 1997, when the Panthers posted a 102-80 win over Chicago State.
    UNI’s 103 points ties for the 20th-highest point total in school history.

NETS WERE SCORCHED
UNI scorched the McLeod Center nets by shooting 65.6 percent from the field in the 103-50 win over Wartburg. That number included the Panthers shooting 78.6 percent from the floor in the second half as the home squad drained 22-of-28 shots in the final 20 minutes.

UNI RECEIVES VOTES IN LATEST
ASSOCIATED PRESS POLL
The UNI men’s basketball team received  four votes in this week’s Associated Press top 25 poll.
    UNI has been ranked in the national polls on 12 occasions with nine of those coming in the 2009-10 season.
    The UNI Panthers finished the 2009-10 season ranked No. 13 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. It marked the highest ranking ever in school history for the Panthers in the Coaches Poll.
    The Feb. 8, 2010, Associated Press poll saw UNI ranked No. 19 – the highest ranking for the Panthers ever in the AP poll.

BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS - IT’S KIND OF A LOADED TOURNAMENT
All eight teams that will take part in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in the Bahamas on Nov. 22-24 are either ranked or receiving votes in the preseason Associated Press top 25 poll.
    Louisville, UNI’s opening round opponent, is ranked No. 2 in the country and received 20 first-place votes.
    Duke is ranked No. 8, followed by Missouri at No. 15 and Memphis at No. 17.
    VCU, Minnesota, UNI and Stanford are all receiving votes in the poll.

UNI’S 3-POINT STREAK
UNI has made at least one 3-pointer in 395 straight games.
    The last time UNI failed to make a 3-point basketball came Feb. 3, 2000, vs. Southern Illinois in a 72-58 Panther victory in the UNI-Dome. UNI went 0-for-4 from 3-point land vs. the Salukis back in 2000.

WINNING TRADITION AT MCLEOD
UNI has posted an all-time mark of 72-22 (.766) in games played in the McLeod Center. The McLeod Center was finished in November 2006.
    UNI was 13-3 at home in the 2011-12 season. The Panthers have won 41 of their last 49 games in the McLeod Center.
    UNI posted a perfect mark of 14-0 in home games in the 2009-10 season. UNI set its home win streak of 21 between the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons.
