SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. -- Led by Alex Zenor's stellar performance, the University of Northern Iowa women's golf team moved up two positions to finish in a tie for seventh place at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
Despite poor weather conditions on each of the three days, the Panthers rallied on the final day to beat Evansville and Drake.
After shooting a 78 on day one and a 79 on day two, Zenor stayed atop the leaderboard for UNI by finishing out the tournament with an 85 in the final round. Thus, ending her season with a team-best 79.5 stroke average.
Behind Zenor on the scorecard for the Cats was Sarah Boss who ended the event with an 83 and a 34th place finish. Boss ended the season with 80.1 stroke average.
Next off, Kaylee Benson ended her fantastic season with a 92 to put her into 40th place. Taylor VanDyke rounded out the contest with an 85 in round three to finish in 42nd place whereas Amanda Bruan closed out with a 99 to end in 44th place.
