MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team made its debut with head coach Daniel Finn on Sunday in a 7-0 loss to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.

"We didn't play smart tennis today and it caught up to us in a hurry," Finn said. "Minnesota is a good team and we made some costly mistakes. Although tomorrow is another day and we will bring a much more fearless brand of tennis tomorrow against Eastern Michigan."

UNI will be back in action tomorrow against Eastern Michigan. The Panthers and Eagles will get underway in Minneapolis at 10 a.m. at the Baseline Tennis Center.
