SPRINGFIELD, Ill.-- The Missouri Valley Conference Championship began today in Springfield, Ill., at the Panther Creek Country Club.
After the first round of action, the Panther women are in ninth place with 307 strokes. However, UNI trails Evansville, MIssouri State, and Drake, who are all tied for sixth place by only two strokes.
"Everyone played pretty well today," said head coach John Bermel. "There were just a couple of holes that we tripped up on, but we're ready to get back at it tomorrow."
