After her recent success at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championships this week, UNI senior, Brittany Atterbury was named the Conference's Player of the Year today.
Atterbury was also named to the MVC All-Conference Team.
Her fourth place finish at the conference tournament was her highest at Terre Haute in her four years at UNI. She placed in a tie for eighth place the following two seasons.
Throughout the course of the year, Atterbury has led the Panthers in just about every aspect. As for senior leadership, she's led the Panthers to eight top ten finishes this season. She's also led UNI to five top five finishes with three third place finishes and two first place finishes.
Atterbury has also taken home two individual first place honors this season with the first one coming at the Bison Challenge at Paiute and then another coming at the Grand Prairie Invite earlier this month.
As for stats this season, Atterbury has made 9 starts for the Panthers with a stroke average of 75.7 for the season. She also shot a career low 69 in the second round of the Grand Prairie Invite earlier this month.
