Angie Ness has been named the General Manager for Panther Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Communications.
Ness will manage all of UNI's multimedia rights as they pertain to signage, radio, TV, internet and in-game promotions.
Ness recently served as the assistant general manager for IMG College
at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. For the Sun Devils she was
focused on the business development efforts surrounding corporate sales
inventory that included signage, radio,
internet, promotions, social media, business to business development and
experiential opportunities. She was responsible for building and
cultivating
relationships with current and new partners. Ness worked directly with
all
facets of the respective ASU Athletic Departments.
Prior to ASU, Ness was the senior sports marketing specialist Arizona
Sports 620 KTAR AM. She served as a liaison for the flagship station to
the Arizona State
University Sun Devils, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix
Suns and Phoenix Mercury. Ness developed unique sports marketing
partnerships
centered around traditional radio and play by play advertising as well
as digital marketing. She helped launch Sports 620 KTAR which is now
Arizona
Sports 620 KTAR in 2007 and is one of the largest sports stations
in the country.
Ness also earned experience in the professional sports realm as an
advertising manager for the Phoenix Coyotes. She developed corporate
sponsorship packages with local and regional
businesses to enhance their marketing through signage, radio, TV,
internet, and in-game promotions with the Phoenix Coyotes and Arizona
Sting. Ness was involved in the building and opening of a brand new
sports
facility, Glendale Arena at Westgate City Center, now jobing.com in 2003.
Ness is a native of Baltic, S.D. She earned her bachelor's degree in
consumer affairs from South Dakota State University in 1999.
