2012: Played and started in all 11 games on the defensive line … finished with 50 tackles, one forced fumble and set a new school record of blocked kicks in a season with five … recorded a season high 10 tackles against North Dakota State (9/29) and Southern Illinois (10/13) … had one forced fumble and a tackle for a loss of four yards against Southern Illinois … blocked kicks against Wisconsin (9/1), North Dakota State,  Southern Illinois, South Dakota (11/10) and Missouri State (11/17).

2011: Saw action in five games for the Panthers primarily as a reserve on the defensive line ... tallied seven total tackles on the season including 1.5 TFL ... recorded one sack for four yards in a 17-10 victory over Southern Illinois (10/22) ... made three stops vs. Southern Illinois with two of them being solo ... recorded three total tackles at North Dakota State.

2010: Redshirted ... racked up five tackles in the 2011 spring game.

High School: First-team all-conference pick ... named to the Suburban Mid-Six team in 2009 ... first-team all-metro status ... team captain for head coach Ron Freeman and the Grandview Bulldogs ... three-year starter on the wrestling team ... two-time state qualifier.

Personal: Born Jan. 18, 1992 ... son of Tom and Ursula Copeland ... has a sister, Kristen, and a brother, Rodrick (who plays football for the Division II national champion Northwest Missouri State Bearcats) ... majoring in movement and exercise science: sport psychology.
