DES MOINES - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale at Drake University on Thurs., Oct. 27, 1-0. 

The Bulldogs scored in the 40th minute when Laura Moklestad found the back of the net. 

UNI out-shot Drake in the match 19-16, out-shot Drake on goal 8-5, had the advantage in corner kicks 6-3, but couldn't solve the Bulldog goalkeeper Kalena Litch. 

Junior Kiki McClellan led the Panther offensive attack tallying five shots with two on goal.  Senior Missy Journot and junior Melissa Hagan each tallied two shots in the match with one coming on goal. 

Sophomore Allie Brees, senior Kala Negus, and freshman Charlotte Jones each recorded a shot on goal for UNI.

UNI sophomore goalkeeper Erin Zaideman turned away four Bulldog shots in the match.

UNI (8-9-2, 2-4-0 MVC) will travel to Omaha, Neb. to face Creighton for the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament on Sun., Oct. 30.  Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
