THIS WEEK IN PANTHER SWIMMING/DIVING
Dec. 4, 2009 at Mutual of Omaha Invitational
The Panthers head to Omaha, Neb. to compete in the Mutual of Omaha Invitational.
Competition is set to begin at 6 p.m.
Dec. 5, 2009 vs UW-Green Bay and Iowa State
The Panthers return to their home pool to take on UW-Green Bay and Iowa State.
Last season, the Panthers fell short to Iowa State, 201-88. In the 2005-06 season, the Panthers competed against UW-Green Bay, falling 173-103.
The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. at the Glen F. Henry Swimming and Diving Pool.
Swimming/Diving Notes
The Panthers last action came on Nov. 20-22 at the Iowa Invitational. Here are some notes about the meet:
Day 1
Maggie Rickert finished at 24.41 in the 50 freestyle. She beat her personal best of 24.70 and moved up to third on the all-time best list. Maggie Rickert, Maggie Rickert took seventh in the 100 butterfly. She clocked in at 59.31. In the prelims, Rickert broke the school record with a qualifying time of 58.42. The previous school record was 59.38, which was held by Rickert herself.
In the 200 freestyle, Maggie Rickert swam 52.39 in the 100 freestyle, which beats her previous personal best time of 52.72, which was a school record.
Abby Girard, with a time of 2:10.78, snatched fourth in the 200 backstroke. Kelly McCullough took ninth with a time of 2:13.55.
Ashley Mangrich grabbed the seventh place finish in the 200 breaststroke. Her time was 2:30.37. Sarah Hedeen was close behind, finishing in 2:30.80.
