2011: Mackenzie appeared in 46 games last season while starting all of them. In 153 plate appearances she lead the team with 54 hits which included 13 doubles, 1 of the teams 4 triples, and 8 home runs which was good for second on the team. She finished the season with 31 which lead the team, a .353 batting average, a .608 slugging percentage and a .421 on base percentage. Defensively she posted a 60 put outs, 80 assists, and just 9 errors.

Started 50 games for the Panthers on the season at shortstop...she batted .305 on the season, scoring 29 runs to go along with 11 doubles, three home runs and 25 RBIs. Her season highlight came April 27 at Nebraska where she hit a home run and knocked in four RBIs...earned 2nd team all conference accolades.

Named MVC Newcomer of the Year … second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection at shortstop … played in and started 54 games as a freshman … third on the team with .316 average … tallied 54 hits and 23 RBIs on the year … connected for three home runs … notched 14 two-hit games … ended the season on a nine-game hitting streak … finished with a .946 fielding percentage at shortstop … finished with eight doubles and three triples on the season.

Born on August 27, 1990…Daughter of John and Jackie Daigh…Chose UNI because she loves it here…Also recruited by Creighton, Emporia State and Centenary…Worked as missionary in the summer…mom has been the biggest influence in her life because she is her hero…hobbies are playing softball, Xbox and Wii…Sister, Mandi, was a volunteer assistant coach at UNI.
