The University of Northern Iowa softball team wrapped up regular season play this weekend splitting a pair of games with the Redbirds of Illinois State at Robinson Dresser Sports Complex. The Panthers finished the season with a 38-15 record, 21-4 in league play.

The Panthers will travel to Carbondale, Ill., this weekend for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament hosted at Charlotte West Stadium. Top-seeded UNI will have a bye in the first two rounds with their first game scheduled for Fri., May 11, at Noon. The entire tournament will be aired on Valley Live, the Championship game is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. and will also be aired on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Indiana, FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX College Sports Pacific, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-verse and ESPN3.
