University of Northern Iowa golf coach John Bermel shot a second-round 76 at the 2012 U.S. Senior Open held at Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion, Mich.
"It was a great experience and we got a little TV time for UNI and Pheasant Ridge," Bermel said. "I did not hit the ball very well today. It was a tough course and I was not real good. I will be back."
Bermel shot a two-round total of 149 (+9) and failed to make the 36-hole cut for the weekend.
The highlight of Bermel's second round came with a birdie on the par-3 17th hole.
Bermel hit 12 of 16 greens in regulation in round two with 35 putts (1.94 avg./hole).
