Waterloo, Iowa- The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team had a perfect match today against Western Illinois. The Panthers swept the Leathernecks, 7-0, this afternoon at home.

In doubles, Nina Pfahler and Jessica Kunzelmann dominated their No. 1 match, defeating Ashley Rettger and Jessica Callahan of Western Illinois 8-0. Teaming up for the first time this season, Cassandra Dix and Krissy Lankelma breezed past Megan Pazdernick and Jessica Theobald of WIU 8-0 in the No. 2 match. Chelsea Moore and Stefannia Sampaio won their No. 3 match by default.

In the No.1 singles match, Nina Pfahler defeated Western Illinois' Ashley Rettger 6-1, 6-1. Cassandra Dix won her No. 2 match, breezing past the Leatherneck's Jessica Callahan 6-0, 6-0. Jessica Kunzelmann swept Megan Pazdernick 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 match. This puts Kunzelmann only 5 wins away from the top of the all-time career singles wins list. In the No. 4 match, Krissy Lankelma defeated Jessica Theobald 6-0, 6-0. Chelsea Moore dominated her No. 5 match, sweeping Juliette Schwartz of WIU 6-0, 6-0. Stefannia Sampaio won her No. 6 match by default.

The Panthers will head to Des Moines tomorrow to take on Chicago State at 10:00 a.m. and then face UMKC at 2:00 p.m. The matches will take place at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center at Drake University.
