The University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball squad earned the overall No. 6 seed in the 2011 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. UNI will serve as a first and second round host on Dec. 2-3.

UNI (32-1 overall) will host the Niagara Purple Eagles (25-8) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Missouri Tigers (21-12) will play the Florida Gators (24-5) also in a first round game in the McLeod Center. The winner of the second round matchup will advance to the NCAA regional in Gainesville, Fla.

UNI is making its 17th NCAA Tournament appearance and it's the sixth time that the Panthers have served as a first/second round host. Head coach Bobbi Petersen is making her ninth trip as the Panthers' head coach.
