Live Weekend presents the Campus Consciousness Tour featuring J. Cole and Big K.R.I.T.

IOWA CITY, IOWA - Live Weekend is proud to announce The Campus Consciousness Tour featuring Grammy nominated rapper, J. Cole and hip-hop newcomer, BIG K.R.I.T.. They will be performing on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Mcleod Center located on the University of Northern Iowa campus in Cedar Falls, IA. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 24, 2012.

J.Cole is proud to be headlining college campuses this spring after coming off of his sold-out 75+ date world tour last year, stating, "My music gives me a platform to reach a lot of young people. I'm happy to be partnering with Reverb to engage my fans and hope they'll get on board with these positive environmental messages."

There will be daytime activities for students prior to the concert at the Campus Consciousness Tour Eco-Village at The University of Northern Iowa. This will include voter registration, plastic free initiatives, and live music.

J.Cole's debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story scored him a "Best New Artist" GRAMMY nomination and sold 217,000 copies in its first week to become the #1 album in the country. It was the biggest digital album debut from a new artist since January 2010. The album is now certified Gold and includes the Platinum single, "Work Out." Cole was recently seen performing his hit single "Can't Get Enough" with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Live Weekend continues the trend of bringing emerging artists to the state of Iowa. Previous shows have included Wiz Khalifa, Mike Posner, and Big Sean.
