The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team has already secured a spot in the championship game of the third annual Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), but the Panthers will not learn their opponent until Friday night. Manhattan travels to Minnesota for the second WBI semifinal, which will take place at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

A win by second-seeded Minnesota over Manhattan would mean a fourth-consecutive road game for UNI, with the championship game being set for Sun., Mar. 25, at 2 p.m. at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.

Should eighth-seeded Manhattan top Minnesota, UNI would host Manhattan in the WBI title game on Tue., Mar. 27, at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center.

UNI (19-14) strung together three straight road wins to reach the WBI championship game, winning at Stephen F. Austin on Mar. 15, at Sam Houston State on Mar. 17, and at Seattle University on Mar. 21. Just two other games in this year's tournament have been won by a visiting team.
