Stacia Greve begins her fourth year as an academic advisor in the
UNI Department of Athletics. She advises the football, men's
basketball, and softball teams. She also helps coordinate the CHAMPS
Life Skills program at UNI and teaches multiple sections of Strategies
for Academic Success, which is a freshman seminar for student athletes.
Greve earned her bachelor's (family services) and master's
(Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs) degrees from UNI. Greve
previously served as the Coordinator of Academic Success at Upper Iowa
University in Fayette, Iowa, a job which she began in July 2006.
At UIU, she worked directly with the athletics department to develop
and implement individualized learning plans to facilitate the academic
success of student athletes, to improve personal skill development,
motivate learning and promote self-reliance. She advised athletes from
13 NCAA Division II teams. She also helped coordinate UIU's freshman
seminar course and taught multiple sections of it each year.
Prior to her work at UIU, Greve also assisted as an advisor in UNI's
Center for Academic Achievement from August 2004 to June 2006.
