HUTCHINSON, Kan. -- After being in a tie with Drake yesterday for the third place honors, the Panthers outshot Drake 307 to 315 to take sole rights to third place. Ryan Horner shot a final round 74 to lead the way for UNI while on route to a tie for 12th place individually.

Following Horner on the score card for the day was Braden Gaal who shot a third round 77. Michael Wetrich and Yarri Bryn both tallied 78's in the final round of play while Paul Bretl shot an 83 to round out the stat sheet.

This is the Panthers best finish at the State Farm MVC Championships since they took home 2nd place in 2001.
