CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa Athletic Department has released the upcoming UNI Golf Tour schedule for 2008.  This year's tour will consist of seven golf events.

The Men's Spectacular will be held on Tues., May 13, at Beaver Hills Country Club in Cedar Falls, while the Women's Spectacular will be Mon., June 30 at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Dike. This year's golf tour also includes dates in Ankeny, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Mason City and the Quad Cities. The 2008 Homecoming Spectacular will be held on Fri., Oct. 10, although this event will no longer be hosted by the Athletic Department. It will now be hosted by the UNI Alumni Association.

The UNI Alumni Association golf outing is scheduled for Fri., Oct. 10 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course with a shot gun start slated for 12:30 p.m. The cost of the UNI Alumni Association golf event is $40 for the Four-Person Best Shot.

The UNI Golf Tour is a series of fundraising and friend raising events supported by the Panther Scholarship Club and the UNI Athletic Department. Events and registrations are open to the public.  UNI alumni, Panther Scholarship Club members, season-ticket holders and anyone interested in Panther Athletics are especially encouraged to attend.
