Kids Admitted Free to Four Upcoming UNI Athletic Events

Cedar Falls, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa athletics department has designated Nov. 14 - 20 "Panther Kids Week." Everyone age 16 and under will receive free admission, and there will be discounted adult price tickets, to the following events:

Fri., Nov. 14 -- UNI Volleyball vs. Missouri State, 7 pm Sat., Nov. 15 - UNI Men's Basketball vs. Denver, Noon - Regular-Season Opener Sat., Nov. 15 - UNI Volleyball vs. #11 Wichita State, 7 pm - Senior Day Thur., Nov. 20 - UNI Women's Basketball vs. Iowa State, 7 pm - Regular-Season Opener

"We understand that as we move toward the holiday season, this is an especially busy time for families," UNI director of athletics Troy Dannen said. "With the final home matches of the volleyball season, including a match against a top-15 rated Wichita State team, and regular-season home openers for our basketball teams, Panther athletics has a great week of competition ahead for families to enjoy."

The first 1,000 kids through the door will receive team basketball posters for the home openers. Additionally, the first 500 adults at the men's game, and first 250 adults at the women's basketball and volleyball games, will receive free blankets courtesy of The Isle at Waterloo.

Banners recognizing Panther conference championships and NCAA appearances will be dropped from the rafters at the Fri, Nov. 14 volleyball match against Missouri State, and at the Sat., Nov. 15 men's basketball game against Denver.

The free youth tickets will be available at the door. For the MSU/WSU volleyball matches, adult ticket prices will be $3; for the women's basketball game against Iowa State, adult tickets are $5; and for the men's basketball game versus Denver, adult price is $10.
