Julie Bright is a 1975 graduate of UNI. Prior to her current position, she spent 10 years directing the business affairs of the UNI-Dome. She was elected Third Vice President of the College Athletic Business Management Assoc. in 1998 and served as president in 2000-01. A member since 1985, she served as District Representative from 1995-98. She established CABMA's internet discussion group. Bright served as President of the Association of Collegiate Licensing Administrators through May of 2000 and was instrumental in the development of UNI's licensing program in 1991. She has served on ACLA's Board of Directors as Treasurer in 1994-95 and Education Committee Co-Chair in 1998. She received the Iowa Board of Regents 2002 Regents Staff Excellence Award in 2003. She also is the Senior Women's Administrator. She and her husband, Dave, have two children - Ben, 25, and Krystal, 23. She was the 1985 runner-up in the Iowa Women's Bodybuilding competition. She enjoys skydiving, the country and antiques. |
