Nate Clayberg was promoted to assistant athletics director for marketing and promotions in 2006. Clayberg leads the department's promotional marketing efforts, which are designed to attract fans to Panther athletics and entertain them at events. This includes coordinating the design and distribution of printed materials, advertising placement, and working with the UNITtix office to process ticket promotions.

At UNI events, Clayberg coordinates the operation of music, video board and in-game promotions. He oversees the promotional and design aspects of UNI's official athletic website, unipanthers.com. In addition, he coordinates a marketing student internship program and serves as the administrator for the UNI spirit squads.

Clayberg was hired as UNI's assistant director of marketing and development in 2003 after serving as broadcast services coordinator for athletics at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002-03. He worked with the VCU athletics department while completing his master's degree in sports leadership in 2002. He also interned in the athletics facilities office at the University of Virginia in 2001. Prior to his work in collegiate athletics, Clayberg worked as a radio broadcaster at stations in Cedar Rapids, Boone, and Ames, Iowa, as well as Richmond, Va.

Clayberg graduated in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and journalism from Iowa State University and worked in the Cyclone athletic department as a student from 1995-1997. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children, Rachel and Daniel.
