Josh Lehman Position: Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations

Josh Lehman joined the UNI athletic department in 2003 as director of media relations-external, and was promoted to assistant athletic director for media relations in 2006.

Lehman oversees two full-time assistants, a graduate assistant, and numerous student workers, who work together to publicize UNI's 17-sport athletic program. Lehman and his staff maintain the athletic department's official website, www.unipanthers.com , as well as producing media guides, game programs and weekly releases. They also nominate and promote UNI student-athletes for postseason awards, and oversee press row management at all UNI home athletic events.

Prior to joining the Panther athletic staff, Lehman served as sports information director at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2001-03. He also was assistant commissioner for communications at the Horizon League from 1998-2001, and assistant sports information director at Fresno State from 1993-98.

A native of Cedar Falls, Lehman received his bachelor's degree in communications/public relations from UNI in 1991, and was a student assistant for four years in the media relations office. He received his master's degree in athletic administration from Marshall University in 1993.

Lehman and his wife, Jennifer, have four children, Alex, Chris, Paige and Maddie, and reside in Cedar Falls.
