Additionally, all PSC pledges receive priority seating points for the McLeod Center. Please contact the PSC office with any questions. For more information on the Priority Seating Plan, click here. Panther Scholarship Club can accept: Cash: Most common and needed gift to the Panther Scholarship Club. Contributions can be made in a lump sum or split into payments. Gifts of Appreciated Assets: Many times the most tax efficient method of making charitable contributions is to give appreciated assets. By contributing appreciated stocks, bonds, land, etc., the donor is able to avoid paying capital gains tax. Gifts-in-Kind: Gifts of supplies or services are sometimes accepted as contributions to the Panther Scholarship Club. In these cases, the donor provides a product or service that would have otherwise been purchased within a program's operating budget. A cash gift of $150 must accompany all gifts-in-kind in order to be a member of the Panther Scholarship Club. Matching Gifts: Many companies match contributions made by their employees. To have a greater impact on the Panther Athletics, contact your human resources office before mailing your contribution to see if your company offers a matching program. Your membership level will reflect the matching gift portion as long as your company allows. Special Discount Programs: UNI Employee Discount: Employees of the University may join the Panther Scholarship Club at half price. This includes current, retired and emeritus faculty and staff. Additionally, any UNI employee who is under 30 can take advantage of both discounts. For example, you may join the Directors level which is $1,250 for only $312.50.
Tax Deductibility: In accordance with the Internal Revenue Code, the deductibility of your contribution to the Panther Scholarship Club must be reduced by the amount of value you receive in return. If you purchase season tickets for football and/or men's basketball at a discount, you should subtract the savings from the total amount of your contribution. According to the tax code, you are then allowed to deduct 80 percent of that amount. Consult you tax advisor for specifics regarding the deductibility of your Panther Scholarship Club contribution.
