Bill Pecenka Wins UNI Dance Team Raffle
Bill Pecenka of Cedar Falls is this year's winner of this year's University of Northern Iowa Dance Team Raffle. Pecenka won a 16-foot runabout, 60 hp motor and a trailer from Waterloo Boats. Pecenka purchased his winning ticket at Waterloo Boats. The cost of each ticket was $5 or you could purchase five tickets for $20. The drawing took place at the halftime of UNI's men's basketball game vs. Southern Illinois on Feb. 2.
Proceeds of the raffle went to fund the Dance Team on their trip to the UDA College National Championship held in Orlando, Fla. January 18-20, 2008. The dance team finished eighth in the nation this year, while placing fifth in 2007 and 10th in 2006.
