Mission

The cheerleaders primary mission is to support athletic teams is to motivate the crowd, entertain the audience at games and other school functions, as well as promote overall school spirit.

A secondary mission of the squad is to foster a sense of community spirit and cooperation through appropriate appearances throughout the community and State of Iowa. Part of the cheerleaders' responsibilities are to perform and/or make appearances at community events. Community appearances are as important to the UNI Cheerleaders as athletic events and are treated as such.
