2005: Outdoor - Finished second in the 100 at the Mark Messersmith Invitational, finishing in 10.47... Also placed sixth in the event at the Sea Ray Relays, clocking in at 10.48... Placed ninth in the 100 at the Drake Relays with his 10.78 time... Placed sixth in the 200 at the Wisconsin Twilight (21.52)... MVC Champion in the 100, finishing in 10.43... Also earned all-MVC honors by placing third in the 200 with a time of 21.27... Member of the 4x100 relay team that captured second place at the Wisconsin Twilight (40.41) and placed first at the MVC Championships with a 39.96 time... The 4x100 team then placed fifth at the Midwest Regionals with a UNI and MVC record time of 39.72... Was anchor leg of 4x100 team that advanced to the NCAA championships, where it placed 14th. Indoor - Placed fourth in the 60 meters at the Adidas Classic, clocking in at 6.79... The runner-up in the 60 meters at the UNI Invitational with his time of 6.75... Placed 17th out of 112 runners in the 200 at the ISU Classic, finishing in 21.82... Named MVC Champion in the 60 meters after finishing in 6.80. 2003: Indoor - Captured first place at the MVC Championships in the preliminary round of the 60-meter dash and second place overall with a 6.82 time... Finished seventh in the 200 meters at the MVC meet in 22.31... Won the Panther Classic 60-meter dash in 6.81... Took first place at the Minnesota Open for his 6.81 time in the 60 meters and was runner-up in the 200 meters with a 21.59 time... Earned eighth in both the 200 (21.83) and 60 meters (6.87) at the ISU Classic. Outdoor - Named MVC champ after winning the 100-meter dash in 10.41... Captured sixth in the 200 meters at the MVC meet in 21.58... Took second place at the SIU Spring Classic for his 21.85 performance in the 200 meters... Member of the sprint medley relay team that captured second place at the Drake Relays... Finished runner-up at the MUSCO Twilight with a 10.46 time in the 100 meters. High School: Was all-region, all-conference and first team all-county in football...Rushed for over 3,000 yards...Competed in track and won all-state in the 100 and 200 meter dash...Relay team finished eighth in the nation. Personal: Member of the UNI football team that finished 2nd in the nation last fall in Division 1-AA. Son of Patrick Hunter and Patricia Catron... Chose UNI because of its "good people"... Recruited as a football student athlete in 2001, but also competes on the track team. |
