Yuriy Litvinski is in his first year as a UNI student assistant. Litvinski competed on the UNI track and field team for the past three years, becoming the first Panther triple jumper to earn all-America honors.


Litvinski jumped to a personal-best and UNI record in the triple jump (53-3) at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championships, placing fourth to earn all-America honors and help UNI take home an 18th-place finish.

As a Panther, Litvinski earned all-MVC honors on four occasions and became a two-time MVC Champion in the triple jump. He competed at the Midwest Regionals six times, qualifying three times for the NCAA Championships. Litvinski also placed second at the 2006 Drake Relays.

Litvinski is a six-time National Champion of Bulgaria and placed sixth at the 2003 European Junior Championships in Poland, representing Bulgaria..

He is a native of Sliven, Bulgaria and is majoring in exercise science - coaching.
