SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Northern Iowa track and field teams recorded a number of season-best times Saturday at the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.

The Panther quartet of Ellen Kindelsperger, Sam Cameron, Holli Hosch and Michaela Brungardt shaved six seconds off their previous season-best time in the 4x400 meter relay, taking fifth place in a time of 3:44.96. That time puts the quartet at No. 5 on the UNI indoor all-time best list.

The Panther men also shaved considerable time off their previous season-best in the 4x400 meter relay with Dennis Hammel, Cory Goos, Beau Dielschneider and Josh Madsen clocking in at 3:12.01 to take seventh place.

Stephen Dak improved his time in the 3000 meter run, shaving eight seconds of his previous season-best with a time of 8:13.32 to take ninth place.

Dielschneider also clocked in at 1:53.16 in the 800 meter run while Brady Fritz clocked in a mile time of 4:14.85.

The Panthers return to action next weekend, Feb. 11-13, at the ISU Classic in Ames, Iowa.
