Olympic Trials Schedule/Results

EUGENE, Ore - Former University of Northern Iowa track and field standout Joey Woody came up short in his bid Saturday to earn a spot in the United States Olympic track and field squad in the 400-meter hurdles.

Woody placed eighth in his heat of the 400-meter hurdles with a clocking of 50.34. Woody needed to place in the top four of his heat to earn a spot in the finals.

The 2008 U.S. Olympic track and field trials are taking place at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field from Fri., June 27 through Sun., July 6.
