EUGENE, Ore. -

University of Northern Iowa senior Tyler Mulder finished eighth in the 800 meter run in the 2009 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon in Eugene, Ore. The Orange City, Iowa native finished with a time of 1:47.98. Nicholas Symmonds won the event with a time of 1:45.86.

Junior Ehi Oamen finished in a tie for 12th in the high jump after clearing a height of 7-0 ½. Tora Harris cleared a height of 7-07 to win the event.

The USA Championships are comprised of the United States' best track and field athletes as they vie for the opportunity to represent Team USA this August at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Berlin, Germany. The top three finishes in each event will earn the honor to represent Team USA.
