CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa men's cross country team brought home a fourth place finish at the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championships Saturday at the Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. The Panther women finished in seventh place.

Thibault Vandenabeele led the way for the Panthers taking 15th place in an 8k time of 27:06. Alex Mark followed right behind, taking 17th place in 27:08. Brett Egan took 21st followed by David Nielsen in 30th place and Brady Fritz took 42nd to wrap up the scoring for the Panther men.

On the women's side, Danielle Nowasell led the Panthers with a 14th place finish. Lindsey Wilkins finished second for UNI, taking 28th followed by Carly Olsen in 36th. April Davidshofer finished 44th followed closely behind by Jill Lageschulte in 46th.

UNI will now head to the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships Nov. 14 in Springfield, Mo.
