Brett Douglas singled into right to score Hendrix and Brandon Douglas. Corvin Kieger singled into center to score Featherston and bring the score to 6-4.             Eddie Almonte and Ferguson each singled in the top of the second, and Brandon Douglas doubled to score them both and put the Panthers in front, 4-0.

Centenary used a hit and a Panther error to score an unearned run in the bottom of the second, bringing the score to 4-1 after two innings.

Ferguson singled in the top of the fourth, and then stole second and moved to third on a balk. Davis singled to score Ferguson and extend UNI's lead to 5-1.

Ryan Bernsen doubled for the Gents in the bottom of the fifth, and he scored on a single from Maldonado. The Panthers did not allow another Centenary hit on the way to the 5-2 win.

Guido Fonseca (1-0) pitched 4.1 innings, giving up five hits and one earned run to be credited with the win. Nick Lauver pitched an inning without surrendering a hit to earn the save (1). Jeremy Sheehan was charged with the loss for Centenary.
