Summers scored on a single by James Dinizo in the top of the fifth, and Ferguson tied the game at 4-4 when he led off the top of the sixth with a solo home run. Bennett led off the top of the seventh with a single, and he stole second and scored on a single by Summers. Dinizo was hit by a pitch, and Summers and Dinizo moved to second and third on a wild pitch. Cory Ege singled to score both runners, putting UNI in front, 7-4. Later in the inning, Douglas hit a two-out, bases-loaded single to score Ege and Deric Manrique.
