UNI-Missouri State Quotes

Missouri State Head Coach Cuonzo Martin

On UNI center Jordan Eglseder
“He played well, and we let him get his head up. He picked his spots tonight and he was tough.”

On UNI forward Adam Koch’s 22 points and 11 rebounds
“He is a talented player, but it is even harder with someone like Eglseder behind him.”

On the Missouri Valley Conference Standings so far
“It is a good league, a fun league. The key for us is to get everyone back healthy. With 18 games you never know what can happen.”

On his team’s performance in the second half
“We did a better job, but you have to give UNI credit. You have to come out and compete from the jump.”

UNI Head Coach Ben Jacobson
Opening statement
“Obviously we shot it about as well as you can expect too. I didn’t realize it until halftime that it was 18 of 22. When you shoot 82 percent in a half though, you don’t expect it to be a seven point game in the second half.”

On Jordan Eglseder’s performance after only scoring 10 points the last three games and scoring 12 points in the first half
“He had an ankle injury at Creighton so he couldn’t play, against Wichita our perimeter guys really shot it well, and he was great down the stretch at Southern. His effort tonight was just a result of him sticking with it and his attitude has been terrific.”

On holding a share of the Missouri Valley Conference lead
“I know the Panthers won, and the Panthers played pretty well. We have played pretty hard for about two and half weeks now.”

On Adam Koch’s stat line
“The last three minutes of the game in Omaha he was great and that carried over to tonight. He has been aggressive at practice and he was aggressive tonight. He had a nice game.”
