"I have tremendous respect for the UNI program and what they have built here. With that said, I'm proud of our guys and how we came here and stayed poised."

"Tony (Freeman) helped us out a lot. He brought a lot of energy to the floor and his being a leader on the court helped as well. Tony's a good shooter and a driver."

"The key was being poised with the ball and cutting down on our mental errors. It was our best game as a team but we still have to cut down on the turnovers."

"We weren't as sharp defensively as we needed to be. I thought we had a great crowd tonight and they brought a lot of energy to the game."

"Jake Kelly is a good player. I've watched him on film and been impressed. We let him get some open looks and in games that are close you can't make those types of defensive mistakes."

"Tony Freeman played well. It looked like he was just playing out there. He and (Justin) Johnson were 5-of-6 from three in the first half and that was a big part of this outcome."

"We could get it to one possession but then they'd come down and hit a shot and now it's back to two possessions. You can only do that so many times and tonight Iowa seemed to have the answers. We made some mistakes we didn't need to make but to Iowa's credit they made us pay when we made mistakes."

"(Iowa) worked harder. They got their hands on a lot of offensive boards. They just fought us harder on the boards. We just didn't execute our game plan."

"Tony Freeman is their floor general. Anytime you get a player back the dynamics change. He knows how to run his team. We expected him to play. We just didn't come out and do what we were supposed to do."
