Recap |  Final Stats |  Photo Gallery

  • Dre Dokes had two interceptions tonight, giving him 13 picks in his UNI career. That moves him into sole possession of fourth place on the Panthers' all-time career interception chart.

  • Terrell Allen's kickoff return for a touchdown was the first for a Panther since Ben Sanderson did the trick on Nov. 17, 2001.

  • Brian Wingert's 46 yard field goal in the first quarter gave him 247 career points, which moved him past former Panther tailback Carl Boyd (246 points, 1983, `85-`88) into fifth place on the Panthers' career scoring list. Wingert ended the night with 253 points and is just 18 behind MacKenzie Hoambrecker (271, 2000-02), who stands in fourth place.

  • Eric Sanders ended the night with 198 yards passing, giving him 4,434 for his career. That leaves him just one yard shy of tying former quarterback and current Panther offensive coordinator Bill Salmon (4,435 yards, 1972-75) for seventh place on UNI's career passing chart.

  • Corey Lewis rushed for 105 yards and scored two touchdowns. It was his second career 100-yard rushing game.

  • Tonight's game was the first played in newly refurbished Drake Stadium. The last time UNI played here was in 1985, when Drake won 24-9. The Panthers last win in Des Moines was a 33-28 victory in 1984.

  • The crowd of 10,107 was the largest at a Drake home game during their non-scholarship era of football. The previous record was 7,908 against Dayton on Oct. 11, 1997.
